The Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society’s mission is to preserve and promote Canada’s West Coast fishing history. The Society works with the community to make this happen. Members and volunteers contribute their time and expertise to help preserve and share the history of fishing. Contributions from donors and sponsors allow the Society to take on activities outside the walls of the Cannery and provide deeper interpretation relevant to the fishing history and issues facing the industry today.
